Previously, investors registering for a new offering received a generic error message stating that their “username was already in use” in the portal.
This led some investors to being confused, not realizing that they just needed to login.
We’ve updated this process to be more intuitive in two ways:
- We’ve changed the error message to state “This email has already been registered for the portal. Please login into your existing account to continue.”
- Instead of continuing to show the investor the registration screen, the portal automatically directs them to a login screen and repopulates their information.
So far our update has seen great results and led to a lot less investor confusion!
